Section 8
Provisions related to duration and renewal of license
: (1) The license issued in accordance with this Act shall be valid for two years.
(2) According to sub-section (1), sixty days prior to the expiry of the license, the licensee shall submit an application to the department in the prescribed format along with the prescribed fee for the renewal of the license.
(3) Notwithstanding anything written in sub-section (2), an application can be made to the department in the prescribed format along with double the fee for license renewal at least fifteen days before the expiry of the license period.
(4) If an application for renewal is received in accordance with subsection (2) or (3), the department shall renew the license for two years within fifteen days from the date of receipt of the application and inform the licensee thereof.
(5) If the license expires without renewal in accordance with this section, such license shall automatically be cancelled.
